HBI is an independent institution of Bible learning and is not
accredited through any national or regional accrediting agencies recognized by the
United States Department of Education, nor does HBI
choose to seek accreditation at this time.
We do not believe that this lowers the value of the education received
at HBI. As
stated, we are an institution of Bible learning and as such have high standards
that our students are required to meet.
Our independence, however, does allow for flexibility and sensitivity
regarding the needs of our students who simply wish to receive a sound Bible
education. Since HBI
is not an accredited institution, no guarantee is made concerning the transfer
of credits.
HBI affiliates with the American Baptist Association of
Theological Schools (ABATS) and conforms to their
catalog of uniform standards.
Transcripts are maintained and become a permanent record of the
student’s educational progress. The
student receives a diploma at graduation and a certificate of merit as they
progress.
